Strengthening School-Home Partnerships
LFC employs a full-time Parent Coordinator to strengthen the partnership between parents, the school, and the community. Our Parent Coordinator oversees parental involvement activities, enhances communication, and provides essential resources to ensure that parents are actively engaged in the school community. By fostering a supportive environment, the Parent Coordinator helps build a strong school partnership, contributing to Lake Forest’s mission of nurturing successful, well-rounded students.
Services
Our Parent Coordinator is dedicated to fostering strong partnerships between parents and the Lake Forest Charter school community. We coordinate involvement activities, and increase communication to keep families informed and engaged. From organizing PTO parent volunteer hours, and fundraisers to advocating for parents Ms. Faulkner is here to support parents in every step of their child's educational journey.

Coordinates parental involvement activities with the Volunteer Coordinator, PTO, and/or parent groups.

Develops and helps to implement a parental involvement plan at the school site. The plan may include items such as orientation for new parents, outreach programs for hard-to-reach parents, strategies for strengthening schools, parent and community relationships, and training and workshops for parents.

Designs a framework to increase communication with parents via the school newsletter, fliers, meetings, and other means by compiling and maintaining parent contact records including daily logs, phone logs, visitation logs, attendance data, and weekly progress reports.

Advocates for parents’ rights at the school site, and assists parents in the process of being effective advocates for their child/children by understanding and communicating district policy regarding parental and community involvement.

Monitors the inclusion of parents at all levels of involvement in accordance with the National Network of Partnership Schools plan.

Coordinates and assists with parental involvement, support, and/or attendance at all school-sponsored activities.

Assists new parents with making the transition of becoming Eagle parents.

Provide orientation and information about the school’s policies and procedures to new parents.

Actively solicit and maintain partnerships with members of the local business community.
