A Rated Performance
Lake Forest Charter has garnered an A rating from the Orleans Parish School Board since being established in 2006. Elementary school performance ratings are based on state standardized test scores.
National Title I Distinguished School
LFC was named a Title I Distinguished School in 2009 and 2016. This designation is awarded to schools that exhibit exceptional student performance and academic growth, close the achievement gap between student groups, and show excellence in serving special student populations.
National Blue Ribbon
Lake Forest Charter has been awarded the National Blue Ribbon by the United States Department in 2021 and in 2013. This National honor acknowledges and validates the hard work of students, educators, families, and communities in striving for and attaining exemplary achievement. National Blue Ribbon Schools serve as models of effective school practices for state and district educators and other schools throughout the nation.
Terrel H. Bell
Award
LFC's Chief Executive Officer received the Terrel H. Bell award for Outstanding Leadership from the U.S. Board of Education in 2021. The Terrel H. Bell Award recognizes school leaders who are dedicated to using education to transform lives. The honor is a component of the National Blue Ribbon program.
