Chess Club

The goal of the LFECS Chess Club is to develop acute Higher Order Thinking Skills (HOTS) and Critical Problem Solving Techniques in our students that will transfer into the classroom and further enhance their academic achievement.
Our program is designed in such a way as to cultivate wholesome competition, with a healthy respect for the game itself and sportsmanship. Our students compete among themselves in a tournament format leading up to the championship matches in various grade groupings.
It is our goal this year to prepare our students for competitive matches against other schools in our 2nd year of the program.
SCHEDULE:
All Chess Club meetings are held in the Professional Development (PD) room in Bldg D.
Parents, please be reminded that if students are not picked up by 4:45 PM, they will be dropped in Eagle Care for a fee. Thank you.
